We are delighted to introduce Ana Lume Nunes as our School Principal.

Ana brings over 15 years of international leadership experience across schools in England, Spain, Brunei, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Denmark. She has led and shaped learning communities from early years through to secondary, always with a deep commitment to student well-being, curriculum excellence, and staff development.

What truly defines Ana’s approach is her belief that great schools are built together — with teachers, families, and most importantly, students at the heart of every decision. She is a passionate advocate for student voice, inclusion, and sustainability, and has a proven track record of creating environments where everyone feels valued and inspired to grow.

At our school, Ana leads the development and implementation of the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum, ensuring that every student benefits from a rigorous, globally recognised academic framework — delivered with care, consistency, and high expectations.

Ana holds the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and continues to invest in her own professional growth, most recently completing training in AI in education, strengths-based leadership, and safeguarding. Her expertise spans curriculum development, strategic planning, community outreach, and inclusive education — always guided by a commitment to high standards and the holistic development of every learner.

He’s worked with kids and teens for over 10 years. Experienced ESOL Teacher with over twenty years of experience in various educational settings. Adept at fostering a creative learning environment and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.

With more than ten years of international teaching experience, Ian brings creativity and curiosity into every classroom. He has taught students of all ages in Russia, China, Hungary, and Portugal, always adapting lessons to their interests and needs. His approach makes learning engaging and interactive, helping children understand complex ideas in simple and fun ways.

Bea has spent nearly a decade working in Norway, supported by a general teacher Education degree with a specialization in English and Arts. She has taught across kindergarten, primary, and secondary school levels, and at St. Dominic’s in Cascais she taught literature, research skills, and English as a second language, while also serving as Head of the Primary School Library, supporting literacy and research development across the school.

A world traveler for almost half of her life, Bea has lived in England, the USA, Switzerland, Brazil, Singapore, and now Portugal. She holds a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA), strengthening her ability to teach and communicate effectively in international, multicultural learning environments.

Masha Bulanskaia has been teaching English, Russian and Literature for 15 years, from public schools in Saint Petersburg, Russia to online classrooms and now in Lisbon. She has worked with students of all ages and levels — from children just beginning their studies to adults refining their skills — always focusing on making lessons personal, flexible, and creative.

"What I love most about teaching is connecting with children and seeing the world through their unique perspective. Every class is a chance to connect, share cultures, and make learning both enjoyable and meaningful".

Maria holds a degree in Languages and Humanities and has been teaching Portuguese and English since 2023. A native speaker fluent in five languages, she knows what it truly takes to learn a new one.
Her Portuguese classes at Clarity are playful and grounded in real life — through stories, games and everyday conversations, children build genuine confidence in the language. Maria has taught and volunteered with children across three continents, bringing curiosity, warmth and creativity to every lesson.

He graduated in Pedagogy in Brazil and has been teaching children for over 12 years, mostly in international schools both in Brazil and Portugal.

Her proudest achievement is the connections she builds with my students! Seeing them feel confident, curious, and excited about learning is what makes her work meaningful every day.

She is musical! She loves singing and making up little songs, which she uses both with the children she teaches to make learning fun.

Verónica holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Universidade de Lisboa, bringing a genuine understanding of child development and emotional well-being to everything she does. Her background as a Child Psychologist, combined with her creative experience in design and the arts, makes her a wonderful addition to our early years environment.

Warm, empathetic, and detail-oriented, Verónica is committed to supporting every child’s growth — both academically and personally.

Marius Huja is the PE Teacher at Clarity School. With a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Physical Education from Universidade Lusófona Lisboa and an MBA in Sports Management, Marius brings both academic grounding and hands-on experience to his role.

Marius believes that sport is one of the most powerful tools for building confidence, teamwork, and resilience in children. His lessons are energetic, inclusive, and adapted to every child’s level — from the most active to the most hesitant.

He has experience leading multi-sport programmes in international school and camp settings, and speaks Portuguese, English and Romanian fluently.

She is an artist, photographer, and stop-motion animation maker. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts and graphics at Moscow State Pedagogical University. She completed a professional photography course at the Academy of Photography in Moscow, as well as many individual courses at FotoDepartament in St. Petersburg and the International Center of Photography in New York.

She has worked as a teacher in different creative fields for more than 15 years. She taught photography, painting, collage, and animation. Since 2012 she lived in New York, where she studied in the Artist in the Marketplace program at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, took part in several art exhibitions, including museum shows, and taught at the International Center of Photography.

At the same time, since 2016, She has been teaching art to children at the Urban Arts school.

Behavior specialist, with over 10 years of experience supporting children and families. Her work focuses on social-emotional development, behaviour support, and helping children build confidence, self-regulation, and positive relationships.

Katya uses play-based and child-centred approaches, creating a safe and supportive space where children can express themselves, process emotions, and develop essential life skills.

She has worked extensively with parents through individual consultations, workshops, and group programmes, and has experience supporting children both in school settings and through one-to-one sessions. Katya also collaborates closely with teachers and families, offering observations and practical strategies to support each child’s wellbeing.

Having lived and worked in different countries, Katya understands the challenges of adaptation and transition in international environments and has supported many families through these processes.

Katya holds a qualification in Family Counselling and has completed specialised training in child behaviour, play-based approaches, and DIR/Floortime. She is committed to continuous professional development through supervision and ongoing training.
